If vouchers and charters are to remain as an option, there must be consistent standards of accountability and results for using our tax money. I will fight against the continued push and direction of privatizing education.

I stand with providing adequate funding for public education and transportation needs of students. I stand for consistent and reliable testing that does not overly burden the classrooms or take away from active learning. I stand with our teachers and will help usher in additional training opportunities as well as a coach/mentor program for young adults entering as teachers. Teachers and Administrators are the backbone of our community and need the support of legislators to make a positive difference in the lives of children.
